Hi all,

I have found a water leak coming from the engine on my V8 Disco 1. I have been topping it up for a couple of weeks now but noticed a "dribble" on Sunday. It seems to be coming from the head/block join on the R/H side approx 5 inches to the right of the water pump. There is no loss of power, oil in water or vice versa.
Do you think a rad weld treatment may cure it or is there a bigger underlying problem?
Concerned as winter is coming and I dont want the block to freeze.

Any help is gratefully received,

Mark

check heater pipes but could be head as water ways are front and back near edge ,or inlet manifold water ways front back too .and bolts often loosen

Dont know if this will be of any help to you . I had a persistent leak that i thought was head gasket & it turned out to be the P gasket on my 300 tdi . I found a product called RISLONE it is a Bars product & made in the USA They say it is a permanent fix for block or head gasket leaks & you dont have to drain coolant even if it has anti freeze etc . It worked for me . Apparently has varying size glass particles in it , Dont know where you would get it in the UK , but try a Google Search . Great stuff cheers Chris L
