disco 1 tlc.....

hi all, few questions for some tlc on my 20 year old disco 1...hope yas can help ?

blowers don't work on 1 2 3 or 4 (switch) anyone know where the relay is to change ??

also just had a head gasket change by a mechanic i will not use again, they have joined the two rubber hoses together so they don't go to the heater matrix anymore! saying they can't put them on the corroded pipes sticking out of the bulk head! i think i can but don't know which hose is which to make sure i put the correct ones on ????

also since the visit to the garage, every now and then the rev needle dances around like crazy on the display??????

Right the relay is next to the motor under the passenger footwell and the dancing rev counter is a loose connection on the alternator just give them a wiggle and a if that doesn't work take them off and clean up the spades and nip up the plug with some pliers. I am only talking about the spade connections by the way not the bolted power cables. As for the pipes can't really help you unless you need me to take a look at mine and stick some pics up. But I'm sure somebody will be along with the info soon.

Don't know if that helps much mate and remember mine is lhd too but it looks like the top matrix spigot goes to the pipe on the rad and the bottom from the head.

Really would it have fecking killed the OP at least comment on the fact i went to the trouble of answering let alone lifting the bonnet to take the pics. TWUNT!
