disco 1 rear tailgate central locking

Hi All,

Havin problems wi my tailgate central locking,sounds like it locks and unlocks as it should with remote, but the knob wont stay up, so to open the door i have to go in through the inside and hold up the peg as i pull the door handle, and from the outside, i just cant open the door full stop!

Is it the central locking solenoid/actuator????
Stripped door and took the solenoid/actuator out and the plunger that moves up and down is loose and can be pulled either up or down very easily.
Any advice is very much appreciated

It's probably the little spring thats broken, can't you just put the key in the outside lock and pull the handle to open it that way instead of using the inside door handle?

tried it but it is solid, cant turn it at all, must be siezed!

thanks mate, just got one off ebay, but looks a right c**t to do, not lookin forward to it
