Disco 1 breathers...

Ok so we're going away on saturday so I thought I'd check why I have so much oil on my driveway

back diff is dripping a bit, undo the filler plug and get a pffft of air pressure escaping

so off with the breather and the banjo is full of crap and blocked.

Sorted that out, front one was clear but where are the gearbox breathers?

Might explain why I have oil ****ing out my handbrake drum

Hi in engine bay , on bulkhead , brakemaster side . there are 2 black plastic pipes with u shape on endscoming up from transmission tunnel. there the gear @trasfer breathers

Ah that sounds familiar, can you get to the gearbox end without taking half the motor apart?

from what i remember u can get to them if u take centre console out ' but its a pain . dont think u can get to them from underneath

Ok thanks.

The crud that was blocking the back one was mostly rust so hopefully the gearbox ones will be clear as they don't get sprayed with crud like the back axle does.
