Thanks to old posts on the forum, another problem solved!
Just in case it helps anybody now......Complete brake light failure but all supplies checked out fine so deduced it was the switch. Dropped knee panel below steering wheel and found 4 wire plug on pedal. Supply in was fine but no output so had to be the switch.
A new one was a tenner from Dunsford here in Bath. Dropped the lower panel to make access easier, removed 4 pin plug, a set of grips on the switch and a slight turn, out popped the old one. Extended plunger on new one to maximum, slotted it in and pressed the pedal so it could find new setting. Plugged back in the electrics and hey presto, they work!
