NO

Nor replacement chassis either - maybe that's one (or two) reason(s) why Deependers are so loved

Really? So I didn't build a D-Lander on a brand new 100 inch chassis supplied by Land Rover then :p

In theory I suppose you could order a new chassis from LR, but for most people when they refer to putting a new chassis on a Def, they will use companies such as Richards, Marshlands etc rather than LR.

It's always been a disappointment to me that Disco replacement chassis are not more readily available, especially galvanised ones :(

Nothing to stop you getting the LR supplied chassis shot blasted and galvanised. It wasn't done for the D-Lander but have known it done for a 300Tdi Discovery.

However, IME and as the OP pointed out, it is the shell (of both RRC and Discos) that rots first. Even my near 20 year 3-dr Disco hasn't had a patch on the chassis (yet! :) )

Microcat lists part numbers for Body Shells so may be you can get an original LR one, the same as you can a Chassis...I did a quick search on google for ALR3753 which is a five door 300TDI shell with twin sun roofs. Not many results, but this place in Venezuela will sell you one for 11,000 US dollars...hate to think what shipping and import duty would be.....

Last time I was in the main stealers, they were re-shelling a 6 month old L322 Rangie, which had been rolled.
Dread to think what the bill was gonna be!
