Oringinal post:

Breaking can now commense! Replacement Disco purchased :)
All parts can be couriered, however, buyer is responsible for goods or paying the additional cost for insurance. Brand new parts can be shipped straight away

3-door R reg white disco, great engine, 150k (Mark L will vouch for the engine!) - minor oil leak from vacuum pump - new gasket supplied FOC - can be seen running before removal. Body panels generally in ok condition, has been off-roaded so some dents, scratches and corrosion, interior all ok, all used, bit grubby, but, not bad. Gear box is fine, axles are fine.

ENGINE SOLD

NEW PARTS

Brake pads (all)
Front brake discs
Front brake calipers (pair)

120 x 60 box section for replacing sills.

Removable tow bar - SOLD

Extra toys on disco

Full roof rack including cover (i am gutted that i never got to use this :( only had it a few weeks (can be taken off disco straight away) - Now sold subject to collection SOLD

3.5" body lift (currently on disco) - missing one of the pairs of lift spacers there are 8 rather than 10... will sell cheap!

Open to offers on all parts. Collection from South Derbyshire, near Swadlincote - i travel around a fair bit, so, just ask, other wise couriers can be arranged.

Wanted (if you can't afford to buy parts but desperately want them!)

Happy to swap any parts for a full set of good quality wheels for a series, off-road type, but, not stupidly aggressive

a welder - well a person who can weld :) need some bits of bulkhead repairing on the series

Oh and to all the people who have already or are going to ask about buying the whole thing... feel free to make me an offer, but, i know what it's worth in parts and I'm more than happy to do the breaking, so, i'm not going to sell it for nothing :)

what interior is it (colour)

pics of the roof rack would be good, and price on diffs and shafts (front and rear) if there 24spline.

Thanks

Interior is all the light grey colour

Rack (without the cover on)

(wheels in pic are the road alloys, got mud ones too, pics to come in the futture)

not sure if they are 24 spline or not... what's the easiest way to tell with out taking the axle to bits?

ok... well i need the repair panels which go round the pillars and round the air vents welding into the bulk head... if you reckon you can do them (your welding seems reasonable... better than i can do!) then happy to do some kinda deal on the engine

I swear you've nicked my welding gloves too... used to have some identical to that and they've gone walkies....

Is the towbar a tank guard too or just a towbar? Any pics?

sadly not (hindsight i would have got one which was)

It is just a removeable tow bar... i was, however, going to weld a plate onto it to make it a tank guard too!

Can do pics, but, it's raining and dark right now, so, i'm not going out :)

Yeah shouldn't be a problem, thems be mine :p second pair I've burnt through…….really need to get a proper set rather than keep buying cheap ones

How much are you thinking for it? Do you know if it has a set towing capacity?

I have the same tow bar by the sounds of it and they're very up to the job, I wouldn't have an issue putting 3.5t of trailer on it!

Asked the guy who made them when i bought it and he said they're good for 3.5t easily. Spent ages talking to him about them, he really knew his stuff about welding so i'm happy to believe that.

paid £150 for it. never fitted it so i don't want to loose too much on it tbh, but, appreciate it does technically class as second hand, so, make me a sensible offer if you're interested :)

I was doing some reading and last night, and with my car being a 1999 (i.e. after August 1998) it would be illegal for me to fit a towbar that isn't officially approved, so I'm gonna have to give this a miss I'm afraid.
