Disc handbrake

They are a very popular replacement and I believe they work very well when in deep water or liquid mud but I just haven't found the need to fit one yet.

The most common and amusing comment is when someone is having a small problem fitting new shoes or rebuilding the expander unit and the stock reply is to fit an XEng disc-brake conversion, an expensive alternative to just looking at the manual!

True, but I've got the banging noise problem that the German dealer has repeatedly failed to fix. Just hope it IS the handbrake drum...
Oh, and my sanity is more precious than a disc brake :)

Yep - strapped one onto my 90 in a couple of hours. Holds better than the old drum brake, particularly after wading/mud plugging.

Only changed because my original brake was always jamming up with crud....
