Disc brakes to the front?? Does anybody have them?

I am thinking of upgrading the brakes on my series 3 so that i have discs to the front.
Has anybody already had this done?
If so how much improvement and what kind of cost?

You have several options for the conversion:
Conversion kit (£889 from rocky mountain but others are around)
Converted range rover/defender axle
Salisbury front axle

If you convert to a deffy front axle then you either have to mod the axle for leaf springs, or mod the vehicle for coil suspension, the former being the better as modding the suspension on a series might bring you in line with the SVA test, which you dont want to do.

I looked at modding a disco front axle for my series, but thats a world of poo as well, it can be done, but loads of hassle.

once had 109 brakes with an SD1 servo, the pedel was like a switch on or off.
