Where's the best place to buy dintrinal. Looking over here and can only find kurust and thats from ebay. appreciate any names of suppliers eithe rover here or willing to post. cheers

when people mention dinitrol, they usually refer to the underseal not rust curing. kurust is a completely different product.

Cheers Trax. Ive just found a stuff called rust bullet?? Basically while the gbox is out and theres a bit more room, id like to give the resonably good chassis a qiuck wire brush and rust treatment. any suggestions?

depends how much you cba to do. clean back to bare, cut and replace any rust, maybe phosphoric wash, zinc rich (90%+) then topcoat

or give it a quick wire brush and dinitrol/bilthamber/por15 it.

ive had good luck on non-wearing parts with the following prep

1.) dinitrol rc900 - spray rust converter and primer
2.) red oxide primer from my local auto paint shop. i know its not red lead but its good.
3.) top coat. whatever gloss stuff.

Just a further question, re the 400ml spray cans, would that be enough to do a chassis. Not sure whether to order 1 or2or ?

I've not used Dinitrol rc900 (I'm guessing that's the one you're asking about? ) but a 400ml can seems a bit sparse to cover the whole chassis, but obviously it depends on how much rust you have.

And whilst you're at it, slow down the rusting on the inside of the frame rails with some Dinitrol ML stuff. Comes in aerosol or shutz-gun style containers. Dinitrol ML Cavity Wax (500ml) | Frost Auto Restoration Techniques Spray that into any hole/gap you can get to.

Dinitrol RC900 is really for small components or smallish areas. I wouldnt use it on an entire chassis. Better to buy some of the brushable stuff if you want to do that. Im not sure what condition your chassis is in but you may want to give it a wire brushing first as the rust converter wont penetrate if you have large flakes of rust.

As above if you want to do it properly then buy some:-

Dinitrol ML3125 - Thin cavity wax with corrision inhibitor for frame rails and bulkhead.
Dinitrol 4941 - Thicker underbody wax for exterior frame rails, axles, fittings etc.
Dinitrol 445 - Thick stone chip with sound deadening properties. Can be overlaid on 4941.
