Dinitrol What have you used?

Why is isn't anything straight forward?

I haven't used Dinitrol before and so Googled it - as you do.

I want to treat the inside of the steel frames of my NEW doors.
From the web site the recommended Dinitrol for NEW metal in CAVITIES is Dinitrol 3650

However, when I look to buy it from the usual Amazon or Ebay I only get Dinitrol 3125, which is for old metal and rust penetration!

Is it the same stuff, just with different amounts of solvent in it to make it penetrate rust?

As I said at the start - why is nothing straight forward?

I got all of mine from ebay.

This is what I did earlier in the year. I have since started a full rebuild, but wasn't the dinitrols fault!

There are a lot of different Dinitrol formulations but I think for common or garden Land Rover use the key thing is to get something on the metal rather than nothing at all or just leaving it in vulnerable factory paint. With my doors, over a year ago I sprayed 3125 up through the little holes in the bottom of the door until it was running out. The other day I took one of the doors apart to replace the window winder mechanism and was pleased to see there was not a trace of active rust in the bottom of the door and everything was covered in a dark oily Dinitrol residue. If I give it a top-up every few years I hope to keep my door bottoms intact more or less indefinitely. For inside the box sections and enclosed areas, provided you've got something reasonably runny that can be sprayed and will creep around and cover everything, you'll be alright. Land Rovers love Dinitrol.

Cheers, I think I'll just go for the 3125 then. It seems easy to get and you can get a 600mm spray pipe included with purchase.
I think I'll see if I can get the 4941 for the underside of the tub and the stonechip 445 for the wheel arches. James - why did you opt for the 447 stonechip?

Mainly because I thought with it being rubbery, it would help stop some of the noise of stones hitting. Can't say its made much difference. The 4941 is "chassis wax", good stuff. You can also get it in brown, but not sure why you would...

Yes, the 4941 looks great in your pictures.
