can anyone tell me why my 1997 land rover discovery does not have a dimmer switch as I cannot find one and how can I brighten my dash with out one? hope someone can help

Because it as never fitted to UK spec D1s, obviously LR thought it wasn't needed, but why do u want a dimmer if you wish to "brighten" the dash illumination?
Some LEDs are brighter and are a direct replacement to your original bulbs.
An RRc dimmer switch will fit with a slight modification in fitting, the wiring is already there.
