dim rear bulb

Have series one with new wiring one year old- puzzled nearside rear direction indicator works but very dim compared with front indicator on the nearside- the tell tale on switch that works the indicators ( home made simple switch and small bulb in holder) used to work a treat have re- earthed it - lights every click as flashers work for offside indicator- nearside shows bright for first click then virtually impossible to see- is this an earth related issue at the rear light housing ( new last year) or something else i need to check. agh hate electrics!

Dim normally means bad earth. Check by running a wire direct from battery earth and touch the bulb holder with it. If it improves then that's the problem.

Nearly all the bulbs on mine are earthed direct to battery.
