I've just upgraded my headlight wiring so it's now controlled by relays (much much brighter!)

Anyways because I still have the dim dip relay my headlights come on with the sidelights.

I see you can buy a bypass relay, anyone know where this is sold?

I know about jumpering between terminals 87 & 30 but if I can get a proper relay that plugs in that would be better.

I have one of the 'proper' relays, all it is inside the housing is a loop between the two pins. So while it might look a little neater it's essentially the same thing as what you described.

Where did you get it from?

I just think a Relay plugged in will be more secure and less likely to fall out!

When my dim dip relay failed, I just disconnected the plug and the lights now work in the normal way. I quite liked it as a feature (while it was working anyway)

Mine works fine, but now I have upgraded to headlight relays I don't have just sidelights as the dim dip relay activates the headlight relays

I'll just unplug it see what happens :)

Just used the wire across the terminals, couldn't find a proper relay.

I used 17 amp cable (all i had) to bridge them will that be ok?
