Hello - I am new to this forum so could someone please tell me if the pixels on my digital clock can be sorted somehow or does this mean I will have to purchase another clock? Thank you.:)

Just get a replacement second hand unit, will be quicker and cheaper than trying to get yours repaired.

you can do a search as somebody fixed one with pictures I tried on my wife car and now have to buy another one do not for get to check how many pins the connector is , usually as I have found out the bigger screen ones are the 8 pin

I had the same problem and managed to fix mine in less than 30 minutes at no cost. Sounds crude I know, but you'll need to borrow the iron from the missus to do this. This video shows you how.

The unit needs to be removed from the dashboard. Carefully prise off the clock bezel/surround this will then reveal two fixing screws either side of the clock display unit. Undo these, pull the unit away and disconnect the connector. You can then take the unit indoors and fix.

Carefully take the unit apart to access the flexible printed circuit. You'll need a small flat bladed screwdriver to gently push the retaining lugs back on the casing. I used some silicon baking paper over the tracks when using the iron. I used the setting for synthetic fabrics to iron the strip back. Just make sure there's no water in the iron if it's a steam iron.
