Difflock light wires

I'm sorting the wiring on my defender its a 1991 200tdi. I recreated the eart wire to the switch from the transfer box bolt. But I can't find the other wire. I know it's a black and yellow wire from the bulb. But I cannot find a black and yellow wire coming out the bulkhead anywhere. Does it it enter another connection and then the wire colour is different? I know it's attached to something, as giving it a tug it isnt loose.

The earth wire was still there when I bought it but snapped when I tried to attach it. So the wiring hasn't purposefully been disconnected or even attempted to be fixed
 
Not sure if the colour has changed, but on my 1985 model, the 4wd wiring is black and blue. Where it passes near the chassis/gearbox, it was covered in a thick black protector sleeve.
 
The wire coming from the dashboard. Out of the bulkhead is black and yellow striped. Same colour as the glow plug wiring but thinner. However I can't find the wire after it disappears into the back of the dashboard. The only wires I have near the gearbox are the reverse light wires. And the earth coming of the transfer box to the difflock switch. I know this works as I connected my fuel guage live to the other terminal on the difflock switch and the fuel guage moved to full when the diff lock lever is moved. I just don't know where the bulb gets its power from.

The dash side of the bulb is the live feed. The difflock switch applies an earth.
 
So I've got the earth to one terminal of the difflock earthing off the transfer case. I've got the wire going to the bulb. But can find nothing to connect to the other terminal on the difflock
 
if I'm looking for a wire on the engine side of the bulkhead that comes from the bulb to illuminate the difflock warning light should it be a live?
 
Take the floor plate off on the drivers side. If you're lucky it may have been tucked up there. If not, it's a new section from the multi plug under the bonnet to the diff lock switch. I'd bet you'll find a bit of it if you start to unwrap the tape from the loom below the plug.
