While climbing 45'slippery slope suddenly my difflock disengaged. My landy running with 2 wheel only.before ascending up hill my landy in low gear range with difflock on position.while back on the road I'll try to change gear to hi gear range and set to right position as per normal driving. But my landy won't move .it look like free gear.so I try to change low gear with difflock on.My landy start to move.I have to go back home very slowly at 40kmh with tuck...tuck sound comes from infront lower engine area.I need some advice what is going wrong.which area is damaged or any replacement of parts required. And how to overcome the problem.

its not your diff lock thats broken its your front diff or halfshaft ,cv etc
TQVM sir I'll see about that.Do I have to replace any parts. What should I do can drive to workshop or better call for tow truck.I'm know nothing about engine because I'm civil engineering guy but working on aicraft structure maintenance and modification.

Remove the front propshaft, then try driving it in high range with the difflock on. This should limit any further damage to the front axle components. You'll probably need a driveshaft nut removal tool, or at least if you can get one, it will make the job easier. If the propshaft looks OK, it's likely the front diff or drive/CV joint has broken. Neither are very complex to replace, but if you don't have a set of vehicle tools, I'd take it to a garage.

Neither are difficult to replace as mentioned but I think you need a box spanner to remove the hubs, ebay has many for about £5. Mine where VERY VERY tight, then theres a few more bolts but thats it. Theres a guide on here on how to replace worn hubs, should give you an idea of what your getting yourself in to.

Diff is you must remove both half shafts first, then all the bolts going round it. Spray tones of Plusgas or similar as some of the nuts can be stubborn. Replace with new ones when done. Diff is quite weighty as well so be careful removing it.

As for removing the prop shafts you can do it with normal sockets but a prop shaft removal tool makes things a tad easier.

Thank you .and thank you sir .I feel free now because now I know I have friends to share my problem.I'll take you'll advice and I wiil try to follow what you have said. Now at least I have some idea what to do and whar we shold have.

You could remove the front prop, raise the front at both sides, and try turning each wheel. If one of the half shafts or CV joints has gone, I suspect you will notice a difference - and the output flange of the diff won't move much when you revolve the broken side. In fact you could try this without removing the prop.

TQ .sir I will do it later .because right now I have a lot of work to do .Because I'm build my house with my own hand alone and I have some more work to do .so I have put my Lr aside for this moment.I feel great now because everyone in our group are trying to help me with some idea how to rectify my problem.
