Differential swap

Hi all, my defender td5 has developed some issues with it's rear differential. Luckily I have the front and rear differential of a disco td5. Would it be possible to use any one of these for the defender, either as a direct swap or just for parts. Any advice always appreciated before I go off and buy new stuff only to fond out parts were at home
