Differential Problems

Both my front and rear diffs have a lot of movement in them and whine like a banshee. I took the rear diff off and drove it and the noise is less now but still whining. The play in both the diffs is quite noticeable. You can move them up and down by quite a few mil and they are haemorrhaging oil like blood in scene from friday the 13th.

I have another diff here that won't fit, mine are HRC1124 and the other is a HRC2604 but that has no play in it that I can detect.

Are my diffs fooked? Where can I get some replacements?

you need pinion bearings ,hrc numbers are casting numbers and are of no use whats important is number of splines for half shaft and ratio series 4.7 def/disco/rr 3.54

Ah! So I assume this diff I have here is not a defender one? It is a 24 spline the same as mine but it won't go in the axle as the studs won't line up!
