Difference between Voguse sea and lse

Hi guys got loads of useful replies last time when i was looking for a RR classic but it all fell through!
Im looking again and whats the difference between a SE a and a LSE?LSE seem to have a 4.2 engine any other differences?Cheers for your help!

All LSE has air susp as std. An extra 8" wheelbase - all in the back doors. 5 spoke alloys.

LSE weights 300lb more than a 100" wheelbase - so performance is the same and you'll lose 2mpg over a std SE, some engine parts are rare and the air suspension was never a strong point.

I'd leave the LSE alone.

the LSE is longer than the normal one although im not sure by how much exactly.

err...that would be 8".

Now there's another thing - LSE's dint fit in domestic garages, so most will have spent most of their life exposed to the elements.

So basically they are like a limo version of the rangie then?Suppose turning circle and angle of departure are also effected?Do like the sound of a 4.2 though.

Yes - exactly. All the additional length is in the centre section of the chassis, to improve rear leg room and door opening. Departure angle is identical, as is approach. Ramp break-over angle is reduced.

4.2 sounds nice - but the performance is no different to the 3.9. They're a fairly rarish beastie though.

LSE doesn't look right. Looked at a black one when I was RR hunting, looked like a hearse. Nice room in the back but not worth spoiling the whole look of the car for. I don't go in the back anyway and I'm damned if I'll ever let any kids or dogs into my beautiful beast!

I`ve had 2, no real problems but turning circle not too clever. Also had the air suspension go down, the best and cheapest answer was to coil it. the 4.2 is a nice engine but can be thirsty, apart from rear leg room if you need it I would stay with 3.9 and there are more of them.
