After encountering some rocky sections on some lanes recently, I was a bit nervous about my diffs getting damaged. I've been looking on Paddocks and they seen to have a decent range of guards at fairly reasonable prices.

I'll defo get diff guards. Looking at steering guards, it looks like they might fit where my JATE rings are. Mine is ex-mod. Do the JATE rings unbolt and can you refit them with a steering guard in place? Can you get steering guards that don't interfere with the JATE rings?

Cheers.

steering guard with recovery point would be better or fit sumo bars

as to guards, gwynns weld on ones are cheaper than bolt on and excellent quality, easy to fit as the weld to casing not pan so you can remove them easily with a slitting disc, plus they're galved

Thanks Doc. Do guards bolt through where the JATE rings are?

They look really good, but I don't weld. Also, my rear is a salisbury, so I don't think they would fit that. Looks like a good bit of kit though.

I just stretched my jate rings slightly to fit over the galved steering guard
Also fitted the gwynn front weld on one as the bolt on type rob about and inch of ground clearance, doesnt sound much but does make a difference, plus it doesnt collect **** against the diff casing
