Hi All!

Quick question for you all.

Different people have told me different ways to remove the half shafts a little to get the diff in position so I thought I would clear it up a little. 1974 series 3

Do I have to remove the wheels brake drums etc or can I leave the Landy on its wheels and remove the flange and half shaft together? Just don’t want to do more than I have to :D
Oh yeah, is there any special tools I might need? Cheers

Undo the 5 or 6 bolts holding the flange in and slide em out...

No need to remove wheels etc..;)

You may have to prise em a bit with a screwdriver, but thats all I needed..

Thanks Codbasher!

I fitted the rear diff today but gave up on the front. If only it was possible to pull the half shafts out like the back :(

Thanks again.

Unscrew the 6 or 8 nuts and bolts holding the chrome ball and pull the shafts away from the diff that way, hard work but if they need doing it may be your only chance.
