Hi, as above I have some play in the diff nose bearing on the front diff of my 200Tdi 90, chassis number HA46****.
I have tried a bit of a search and it seems to me that I can take out the old bearing and fit replacement without having to strip the diff if I just make sure to refit any shims etc on reassembly.
Can anyone tell me otherwise?? Don't really want to strip the whole front if I don't have to.

Cheers in advance.

its possible but its better to replace both pinion bearings if you use timken bearings preload and shimming shouldnt be effected

Thanks for the reply James and point taken, I will have a go at just changing the outer first (539707), as I really don't need the job of stripping all the front at the moment.
