Hi my disco goes into diff lock but no light comes on on dash and it's really hard to get it back out of diff lock any ideas would be a great help cheers

Light could be the bulb ,sensor or wiring and difficult to engage and or disengage is normal for an old landy
While i had the gearbox out of my project i took the diff lock shaft out of the transfer box ,stripped the whole mechanism down and cleaned up the shaft with wet and dry and its easy to engage now
Not sure how easy that would be with box in the car but will be doable

when taking it out of diff lock try reversing a bit first just in case of transmisiion wind up.
