ive had a new gearbox fitted and the diff lock isnt workin. so ive investigated and it is the metal bar with the piece of metal off it that ataches to the transfer box hi and lo work fine im lookin for someone with a picture of how it should look as wen i move it over to diff lock the bar moves but doesnt move the diff lock and ive tested it by movin it manually so it does work .

is the pear drop shaped lever sat on the 2 flats of shaft poking out of t/box ,if your pivot for lever is the eyebolt type it can be screwed in/out to adjust how far it goes into lock or out

i sort of understand what your saying but wen i move the lever to the left to put it in lock it doesnt do a thing just moves but im sure the bar they have installed is wrong as ive got another one in the boot wen i got it back which is why i need a piccy.

thats exactly how mine looks but i cant tell how the bar looks like it. the bar i have isnt connected to the hi low but the other bar i have does seem to as it has a thread and bolt coming of it and thanks for the help.

These any help?

There is a circle with the sides cut off that that metal plate bolts down on to. If the 'key' isn't sat in the metal plate properly it will do nothing. Loosen off that bolt at the bottom and push the plate down and wiggle it till you feel it snap into place. Then bolt it back up and see how you get on

I has simelar problems with mine (allbeit on a disco.)

The linkage was just sloppy to I packed it out with anrandom nut at the top like so...
