Hi Again

Answer to most of those is no!

Go thru the past threads, there are lots on this topic which answer that very question. Also thanks to the efforts of all the contributors, a lot of the problems associated with the engine have been identified with solutions available, it's a worthwhile endeavour, all 130 pages!

To answer in brief, it's a bit gutless and could do with a bit more welly. Once you get used to it's leasurely pace it's not unpleasent to drive and is quite smooth for a diesel.

Also, it isnt as loud as alot of the V8 guys on here will lead you to believe. Yes, it probably is noisier than the V8 but its not massively loud and certainly wont detract from the overall driving experience. You can easily drive along at 70mph and not need to raise your voice to speak to others in the vehicle.

i am new to RR ownership, i have owned my DHSE for 3 weeks now and i have to say i am totally over the moon with it. it has been chipped so i think a non chipped car would be gutless but mine isnt. its a lovely ride and drive, it isnt any noisier than any other top of the range diesel, the 6 cylinder is very smooth and so is the gearbox. i rate it 9 out of 10, if it had sat nav it would be 10 out of 10!!!
