Filled up with diesel the other night and 1/2 mile from the filling station someone is flashing their lights at me.
On looking in the mirror several times I noticed the rear window was wet and a trail of liquid on the road behind me.
I pulled up on the first available grassed verge and lifted the bonnet to find diesel spurting out from below the engine cover. Switched off and felt about to find what I suspect to be the return pipe had come off.
I lined it up and pushed it back on and checked it by pulling and it would not budge.
How the hell did it come off in the first place?
Going to look at it tomorrow afternoon and probably put lock wire or something on it to stop any chance of it happening again.
Has this happened to anyone else?
