diesel in sump,td5.....

hi all.oil level keeps rising,think its diesel.had injector seals done,no change.could it be lift pump? if so is it a costly job? many thanks in advance.

cheers mate.is it big job to replace lift pump seal? im off on hols soon,so every penny counts.
 
sorry to be the bearer of bad new but your heads more than likely cracked. if its a later euro 3 engine the castings were thinner.
 
hope not.... the coolants nice and clean and there is no smoke at all.this is an 02 td5,is this a euro 3 engine,thanks.

I thought it was the earlier TD5s that had the problems with the heads, and the later ones were improved to try and stop the head from cracking,(although some still do)

That IIRC is correct. Which is one of the reasons I have a later 16p engined 03 D2
