Right, I have a 300TDi disco, was going to post this in the disco section but it really relates to the engine in general rather than specifically the disco.
Firend of mine has an Audi A4 diesel and every other tank full of fuel he puts in he adds a bottle of STP diesel injector/engine cleaner. He has found it amazingly effective at maintaining the performance of his car, generally smoother/brisker acceleration as well as all the other good things that these cleaners claim todo that you'd only see if you stripped the engine out.
This got me thinking,
Anyone regulary use diesel additives in thier TDi landy? Any specific brand to reccomend? Any to stay away from (I ask this one because I have been warned when using petrol additives in my old motors that not all engines 'agree' with all brands, e.g you can't put some types of injector cleaner in the old rover 200's as it has been known to degrade seals and fuel lines)? Anyone noticed any real difference when using them with a Tdi?
Or is it not worth it at all?
