can any body help me how can i make my indicators flash when i arm the alarm on my disco as only the red led flashes on the dash as it should

U don't say what type of alarm system, two or single button fob. The alarm ECU is responsible for the 'hazard flash' when arming and disarming. Either the ECU is faulty or a there's a loose/broken connection at the ECU, thats about it I think.. does the alarm function, with sound and indicators ?

Probably not much help this, but when I replaced the earth connection to a headlight the same thing happened to our's albeit the red LED continued to flash indicating alarm was set (according to the LR manual anyhow) and did indeed work when I left my son in the disco to test the sensor

I ended up changing the headlight bulb's & all of a sudden the indicator's now flash when I lock her:eek: ... like I said probably no help but have you checked all fuse's, bulbs, connections? might well be a loose/corroded wire.

Check door / tailgate switches (courtesy light) and also bonnet switch. e.g. if i set alarm with bonnet up, hazards don't flash. Close bonnet later while alarm still set and they will flash to let me know everything is finally closed. Both my disco's do this and it's mentioned in the hand book.
Hope this helps!
Paul.

You should also get a two tone beep as a warning if you set the alarm with a switch still open. (2 button fob).

As I posted a while ago if it's the single button fob it uses the same fuse as the headlamp washers and when they get corroded blows fuse and no arming of alarm. Took about 9 months to track this down as handbook says fuse is only for headlamp washers so I never checked it until I looked at circuit diagram some time later.
