Hi I have a discovery 2 running and driving but the hazards and indicators have stopped working when I turn off the ignition and remove the key all lights show on dashboard intermittent wipers aint working and the gear indicator is flashing all lines and the dashboard yet the car is a manual help much appreciated

Just tried it again now and once running I can turn the ignition off and it continues running I have to turn it on and off repeatedly or stall it to stop it running

When it does it again unplug the brown connector which is plugged into the front of the interior fusebox and if it stops then the problem is with the ignition switch... if it doesnt stop that way the problem can be with the fusebox or even with the alternator but i dont know how comes the BCU into this as it has nothing to do with a running engine

I was thinking bcu as the indicators and intermittent wipers are not working will try that to so if get it running with ignition off and unplug the brown plug from fuse box?

I said to unplug the brown plug when it refuses to stop cos that plug comes from the ignition switch and if it has no effect replaace the fusebox as the alternator is ruled out, the IDM is involved in wipers too

OK just did what you said with the brown plug and it stayed running and all lights stayed on on dashboard so you think its a new fuse box needed? The help is appreciated

Yes, at this point the fusebox is very suspect, just make sure it was removed from same modell (facelift or pre-facelift), disconnect battery before the swap and after reconnection turn ignition on 2 and let it so 5 minutes then crank it.
