Derbyshire night lanes

Derbyshire night laning.
Group of 6 max. anytakers. Hopefully start at hollinsclough end maybe charity lane. Could inc some fords.
Cb is prefered. also greenlane experience a must as can be difficult in day
sat or sun night whatever suits.maybe start at 6 for few hours

Hi chris,
Gutted mate I cant make it tomorrow as I did a couple of local lanes last night an on the way back think that some how my half shaft snapped, which means it only drives in diff lock, but been showen how to change one so I'll get started on it tomorrow.
Next time to mate, and mid week or Sunday night is better for me as useally busy on a sat night.

Kieran, is yours 10 spline? I have a stock of 10 spline axle parts which I keep for spares so if you need a shaft there will be a few to choose from that you can borrow/buy if you need one to get yourself out Saturday night mate.

Hi Sam, Thanks for the offer.I won't know until tomorrow mate. But if it is and I can't get one from my local...ish landrover parts place I'll give you a ring, as I wanted it sorted this weekend. Dont know what's going on with it lately, never had any problems and now new engine and this in the last two months. :violin:

Lol, it's not that bad mate, engine ok rare thing, half shaft? Could happen to anyone!

If yours is a genuine 200tdi then it will be 10 spline. Can't remember what year yours is...?

Does it have drums on the rear? Or is it a front shaft that has gone?

Getting the broken portion out without a magnet usually involves diff out which is easy but annoying!

I see from pics yours is a J reg, thought it was.

Yeh it's a genuine 200tdi,and to be honest can't remember but it's the front anyway.not sure if it's the longer half shaft or shorter one yet but suppose it would make more sence if it was the longer as that will have more strain on it.

Can meet near hollinsclough and work our way up to charity lane like you suggested. Do you want to meet around 6-6.30? Can't believe no else is up for this.

We away in sunny scunny for weekend loads of snow still out here four inch or more enjoy your night boys don't go breaking owt !!! Any night in midweek if ever anyone gets chance we be up for it !! Can't wait for next time out have a good one boys am well jealous

Just spend all morning taking the longer half shaft out......and it's fine, typical, so going to have a bite to eat then get the shorter one out.and I better find a broken half shaft! it's a strait forward job but I think that's someone's having me on and welded some of the bolts on for a laf.lol
