Anyway.

I think the jist of this outing has got a little mixed up.

The OP originally suggested a derbyshire laning trip, taking in some of the problems areas.

This is because it is still legal to drive such lanes and it needs to be proved it is possible and it can be done trouble free, without upset.

I for one would be certain to make sure that we had a plan if we were on the lane and we met ramblers, ie everyone's engine off, out of your cars and cameras secretly ready.

Definitely not about let's see how many simexes we can get down this lane.

It'll be a quiet trip mostly thanks.

Yes absolutely, we encountered plenty of walkers last weekend around Solihull and Redditch all were past slowly and with smiles so everyone was happy.

As mentioned before all we want is a compromise, not lane closures, agro and TRO's.

Now this is how it should be, spot on fellas:)

And what if all the bridges have TRO's on them due to mr stereotypical mud plugger 'whipping up some mud' on greenlanes?

then we shall go round them!

im not a muppet and see what you are both saying and agree (mostly) with you both but i cant be arsed to argue.

for the decent, considerate ramblers that i have come accross, i have respect for and will go out of my way to pull over and let them pass but when im out with my son, whos only 8, and i get abuse hurled at me for driving slowly down a lane and minding my own business, i couldnt care less about. i have also had comments about being a woman and knowing better but i just let them go over my head. those ramblers are taking things too far. im sure they have said a lot worse about us and if it ends up in court or wherever then bring it on.
all they can say about this forum and others like it is that they are peoples opinions which we are entitled to.
yes, i enjoy getting dirty diffs and being a 'mud plugger' but only in the appropriate places and im not ashamed of that. i enjoy my 110 as much as i can and refuse to have any abrupt rambler dictate what i can and cant do with it when i have rights too. i obey by the law and rules of the lane which the appropriate authorities have put in place.
i will be attending on the 11th and im quite looking forward to it, and am not ashamed to say i cant wait to see their disapproving faces!
think of me what you will but quite frankly, i couldnt care less if its good or bad, im not going to say things to please other people.
