Hi all, just got my new accumulator for my 1999 p38. One thing though how do i depressurize the braking system??

From RAVE

1. Switch off ignition.
2. Operate the brake pedal 30 times. Pedal travel
will increase slightly and reduced resistance will
be felt as pressure decreases.
3. Wait for 60 seconds, press the brake pedal four
more times. This procedure will ensure that all
pressure is evacuated from the system.

Or he could just unscrew the accumilator and start his very own Cape Kennedy. This would also create one of those cool bonnet blisters that the boy racers like in their Corsas.:D:D:D

Perhaps you have come up with another method to test the accumilator - instead of all that palava with pressure guages etc., just unscrew it and see how high it flies :D:D

lol, well still alive! thanks for the advice, had a bit of brake fluid squirted at the but njo accumulator and no bonnet blisters!!
