Does anyone have any experience of SS exhaust systems made by Demand Engineering?

Not going into the whys and wherefores but will be fitting a new SS system in the new year and am looking at options.
In the past I have had a RimmerBros system (on my 101) and it was very good.
Bought a DoubleS system for my 300TDi many years ago but it went straight back due to the poor build quality.
Since then I have run non-branded SS front & centre pipes coupled to a mild steel rear box (replaced every 5-years or so) and it has been fine but time has taken its toll (especially on the hangers & flanges) so a whole new system is required.

Griffin was an obvious choice but I have been unable to contact them for some time and their shop has been closed for a while (certainly longer than I would of expected even in the run up to Christmas).
The Demand Engineering system looks good, the sports silencer system is well priced and the fact that all hangers & flanges are SS is a definite bonus. The only thing is that a Google search brings up very little other than their own site and links.

Anyone seen a set-up or bought & fitted one? :)

Tbf its not like theres much to go wrong with that very basic system.
How much is it?

"How much is it?"
£516 with the silencer option.

"I know the guy in the unit opposite them, he used to weld for them, they do good work"
Excellent, thank you.

Just surprised that I couldn't find any reviews or comments about them.

The guy in the the guy opposite is a welder/fabricator, he originally worked (well part owned demand) but went his own way a few years back to do a wider variety of stuff.

He is excellent at mot welding and land rovers and good prices to, he has made a few things for people on here aswell.

He helped me with my tdi conversion and is currently restoring a series 3 for a customer. If you are up that way he is a good guy to know for fab/weld stuff.

Last time I was up there demand had in a gorgeous Porsche and they were making a stunning stainless manifold for it!

Well 516 quid aint cheap, but I always try and break things down, so for example if it lasts 10yrs that is 50 quid per year, what would a std set up cost v length of service?

My 90 came with a stainless set up which wasnt new when I bought it 10 yrs ago, so whilst I am sure it was not cheap it has been good, cannot remember the make, boy racer name from the noughties?

Ref you cant find much about them, maybe it is one of them places that are very good and do such specialised work (like the porsche mentioned) that they simply have no need to advertise?

My mates unit is this one here in the back of this video, if he is there when you go just knock, if not I can PM a phone number, he is handy to know for fab stuff

It is exactly for this reason that I have not fitted a stainless exhaust! If you could buy it section at a time rather than a full kit I could be more tempted but I can get a complete exhaust for my 110 for £48 inc vat from paddocks. Lasts about 2-3 years depending on the section so I would need to have the stainless kit 20-30 years to justify the expense. It would be slightly easier to justify if you could buy it one section at a time as it would not be such a large one off cost.

Like I said, not going into the whys and wherefores but I have had full & part SS systems in the past and they suit me, I am after a good quality fit & forget system and I am more than willing to pay for it. When you see the cost of a DoubleS system and understand what poor quality it is, £516 for the Demand system looks like excellent value for money!
If I decide to go with the Demand system (as looks very likely) I will post about its build & fit but as some of the replies have indicated, they do appear to have a reputation for quality. :)

Had always liked Griffin and spoken to them on a couple of occasions but they seem to have been quiet for some time now.

After talking to one of their techs at the LRO show, I've been meaning to drive to their shop to see what they can do for my V8. They have fabricated exhaust systems for a Mustang.

just down the road from me. they do look very good but £500 is a big chunk out of my rebuild budget but on the other hand my last paddocks cheapo system is about to fall off at less than a year old

The customer concerned was Trevor Cuthbert land Rovers. If you want to contact him directly, he has a web page/facebook page for his restoration business.
