Brake & Clutch cleaner and the special spray bottle that your local motor factor will sell you with it.

But I'd recommend that you used steam rather than a straight hose, if you can beg, borrow, buy, steal or hire a steam cleaner unit. Use a stiff brush to work the degreaser into the awkward corners.
Don't forget to protect any electrics before you start work.

Gunk ultra.
Used it last week, knocked spots off everything else!!!
My timing case for example
From that to this.
I found that a stiff nylon washing up brush worked very well with it and it wasn't overly dear either.

Been years since I've used Gunk & IIRC it had a strong smell & left a greasy surface film. Is this new stuff any better?

It still smells but I found the Ultra stuff to be far a better product than the old recipe, I used a stiff paint brush to apply and an old washing up brush to scrub off any stubborn oil stains, wipe the residues away with a rag and sparkly new.

Must be powerful stuff cos it seems to have dissolved your timing belt and pulleys
