definitive answer

so ive nearly finished the 300 tdi transplant into me 90,just gotta mount the airbox and refit snorkel pipe and then put floors back mount leccy fan and job done.

so ive read loads of freds about temperature guages and senders and what ones work and wot wonts dont..

so i have a disco 300 tdi sender and a defender 200 tdi guage and i can definately say they dont work with each other..

and landrover wont commit on whether the disco sender and defender 300 tdi guage will work together,

so ive got a digital guage wich comes with its own sender so i may just go with that option but i would have liked the original guage to work..

so what have you peeps got that work together 300 tdi ways

I got an F reg 90 with disco 300. looks like the original td gauge but i'm not sure. Sticks just below the middle after 10 miles, adjusts when thermostat opens etc and it's never cooked despite doing 45 miles with a 20ft trailer with 2 bobcat diggers up hills needing 2nd gear etc so i'm sticking with it.
