Hi folks,

Not even owned my 1994 exmil landrover for a year. I got it from a dealer in bedford. Its my first landy, i sold my 06 car so i could get a defender. Took it to a pay and play site in newmarket for the first time. They are amazing trucks. I have registerd with military forums too, but sometimes i need to ask about land rover details and not always military :D. Hope i can get info on here.

:) cool! small world! Really excited about your expedition, although looking at your avatar i dont know if i should be excited or worried.
Nah, still excited!:D
Ta for the welcome!

Yes, wildtracks at their newmarket site. It was great fun. We whent in the week so there was only my defender, my mates 90 and two lads where on the course with their disco. we got chatting to them after my mates wife had to rescue them from some mud with her 90. :D
Now i have never really thought of a disco as an off road vehicle (soz disco owners:p) but if i was to take one off road then i wouldnt use road tyres. but it looked like they where having just as much fun as us and and that at the end of the day is what counts.
I whent up and down slopes i never thought possible, at some points i was just looking at sky. It gave me such respect for the defender and what it can do. My 2.5nad engine may not be the fastest on the road (nor do i want it to be) but it handled the off road side with an ease i was amazed at.
