Hi all, im a new owner of a very nice h plate defender. I have just bought some boost alloys, will i need to fit wheel spaces or will i get away with out them. Also i have purchased a safari snorkel(whats it like getting the air box off? any problems?

Don't think yer alloys will fit at the rear, unless yer axle has bin changed fer a disc-braked one off a disco or rangie.
do not fit spacers - you'll shag yer wheel bearings in no time.

air box is a piece of **** to remove - undo the clips and pull it out. but why do you want to? yer snorkle feeds the air into the air box from a higher level - that's all. you still need yer air filter!

they fit on mine fine, they rubbed at first on the front radius arms on full lock but the stops were adjusted (5 min job) and all OK now (mine's a "H" reg too)

Is it a td or a tdi?

thass what i thought, mines the last of the tds so if it's a tdi then probably (!) means it's more modern than mine which is OK then it should be alright! My vin is F i think.

bollocks...forgot me new photobucket password and won't let me in now!..hope this works

Ha! I guess you've got the first "defender" off the line and i've got the last "90" - they were probably in line together coming out the factory!

Stuck together????????????????? nowt stuck together about mine, it's decidedly unstuck (which is why i figured they mighta bin made in a factory...by drunk brummies)
