defender td5 cruise control

hi all

have searched the forum + not much luck so here goes;

I'd like to fit cruise control to my 110 td5 (pre-facelift dash) but not sure how to go about it

(i know it sounds gay but been racking up the motorway miles lately + now have a massive right leg!)

I found a kit on firstfour but its £140 + only for >02plates.

after alot of googling there seems to be some issues regarding year of vehicle / Ecu although it is hinted it can be done to earlier models (mines a y2k)

i need to check my ECU but first of all i thought id seek local knowledge so has anyone done it to a 00 / 01, if so how difficult?
