Defender td5 alarm question

Hi all. New to the site so be gentle..... What do pressing the lock fob twice do on my alarm? I know that once activates the full alarm but if I press it a second time the lights will flash but not sure what it does. Nothing about it in the manual and no luck via Google search. It's a 2002 defender td5 if that's any help.

If you press the fob a second time the indicators should flash three times (as the first time you press it). It is simply letting you know the alarm is already set.
Ps introduce yourself in the appropriate section or you may upset some of the natives!!!!
