hey everyone,
i though i would give this a try on my landy, and to my surprise, i think it could be beneficial, and give me an extra minute of time to get the club and catch the block mid-thieving.
I´ve installed a battery isolater switch, which needs it´s own type of key to turn on.
This switch is located in a conceiled area on the truck, and without flipping this switch, there is no power to anything..
2nd idea i have, and hve been working on it for quite some time before i put it to use.
I know toyota´s have a relay that releases power for 30 seconds after the car is turned off, to close windows, etc etc.
To use the same relay on the fuel pump, to make it seem like the truck is running, but not very well, and not limit it to no juice from the battery, as they could crack that quick.
At this point the truck would stall out, and keep doing this time and time again...just limit the relay to a lesser time or maybe 5 second of running time...
my 0.02$
cheers,

Yep. That should stop the theives towing it away.:p

Unfortunately most landys are either nicked with keys or towed away.

Item number 1 on the list is a disclock steering wheel lock used in conjunction with the wheels being turned on full lock. Item number 2 is a pedal lock.

shat....i never thought about it being towed away...steering wheel quick release maybe
what about like a motor bike lock that goes through the disk...just add a vented disk to one wheel, enough so that a lock can fit through.

I have a swivel with a fitting for a track rod end on the drivers side of mine. If I want to I can sling a chain and padlock around the wheel and onto it.;)

To stop the buggers getting at mine. I park a car in front of mine, box it in. But at the moment its fine as I have the fron on axel stands.
