Hi all,

I am looking to print the letters of my reg from vinyl and stick them on the roof as some form of security measure.
Does anyone know the dimensions of the flat square section of the roof of a defender 90 as I aim to make the characters as large as possible?

I did see another thread saying the roof was 88 inches by 90 inches so if anyone could confirm if that was measured from the 90?

I would measure it myself but I haven't yet picked the defender up from the garage.

Any help appreciated thanks.

Not offhand, but I do think it is a good idea, I did the same with my cattle trailer. The theory is that if it is nicked, the police helicopter can spot it easily.

I didn't use vinyl, though, just painted them on with ordinary exterior gloss paint. Lasted for many years.

That's the idea!

I am only using vinal because it is readily available to me and I am not sure I fancy painting as I might be adding a roof rack soon.

You can security style vinyl which is quite hard to get off, Ive got large letters on my roof.
Sadly the forum register they came from has gone belly up!

Don't think that's a 90 buddy. Quick tape measure on mine comes up with 44' wide by 79' front to back This is roughly the "flat" surface, omitting the curves at the edges including the slopey bit at the front . Without the slopey bit that drops to 50'.
Neat idea though. :)

Thanks for that! Any idea what the length would be minus the slopey bit? Unwelcome folk are more likely to see it there :/
Cheers!
