Hi,
Ive recently got a 1988 land rover 90 - i'm working through the issues but this one's abit weird. If i put it in drive the rear wheels/prop wont turn unless i press the foot brake. Any advice on where to look? I think the previous owner replace the brake pads before the rear prop before i bought it.

Thanks in advance..

Not sure what you are saying but are the rear wheels running free when in neutral and up on the jack.
Is handbrake sticking and is it now discs at the back.

I think you might need to re-word that one. I can't understand what you mean either.

drive goes to the axle with least resistance......there is a centre diff that controls that!

with foot on brake, the front brakes have more 'power' than the rear so as you put your foot on the brake, the front will stop first and then as the rear is the path of least resistance it will go to the rear.

Try engaging diif lock and both props should then turn together.
