Silly question but got to ask . Would a disco 200tdi or defender 200tdi front propshaft be ok to fit to a 300 tdi defender to drive 200miles ? Or could I drive without front prop fitted but in diff lock .

Diff lock will be fine. Just try not to use it for too long. I've ran mine in diff lock for a month before and I've been having to do it just now. Doesn't cause any lasting damage but its not ideal

That'll do me then front props coming off lol . I'm just worried as it's been advised of mot that propshaft universal joint warn . So I'm thinking it will brake on the run

iirc the 200 is longer as the lt77 sits further back.

but i'd just run it in difflock without the front on.. can't see why it would do any harm at all.

I ran mine for some time with no front prop, whislt waiting to get the enthusiasm to change the u/j, wont cause any damage but you wont like it as it shows up every bit of freeplay in the transmission, certainly made me get my arse in gear.

Drove home 182 miles with uj warn it was fine until we got back to 1st traffic lights and the noise n clunks began back safe n sound now cheers for advise guys
