defender drop link

hello ,
im i missing a trick or something ,,i an struggling to remove my drop link to steering box ,,any ideas please

pullers and a very large punch and hammer to hit back off arm ,its taken me 2 hours on one but they will come off if hit well enough ,horizontally will work it doesnt have to be down ,arms held by a slow taper like a track rod end

I was advised to grind a flat on either side of arm to give pullers summat to better to sit on. then as said big hammer and a punch or similar

i know you should'nt but i used a little heat then one hit it fell off

You could try hitting it with 2 hammers at the same time - 1 at each side of the drop arm where it sits on the splines

Yep - make sure you hit with both the hammers at the same time and it does shock it and makes it loosen off
