Defender door pillar feet replacement

The door pillar is all steel.If your pillars are still in good nick [unusual] or only in need of minor repair neat the bottom then to remove the old pillar you need to temove the door,the wing, floor plate,sill, inner sill rail, so as to drill out the spot welds that hold the foot to the pillar then slip the new foot up inside the door pillar and spot or puddle weld it in place. All can be done with bulkhead in place.

Oh I see so its not a continuous piece? It'll probably make more sense when I actually start.

How many spot welds are there, can you remember?
