Salisbury is a completly different axle to a rover axle if you have a rover axle you will need the complete axle.

Then there is modifications to the propshaft if its a 90.

I have a 4 pin Rover diff in Very very good nick. its a bolt in replacement in a rover axle but its not cheap. A salisbury axle and diff internals are far stronger than rover by design and sheer size of components.

Let us know what you currently have if your diff had broken and its a salisbury it will need a rebulld again quite time consuming and costly exercise to do it right.

If you are replacing the rear diff in your 200 tdi assuming its still a std 10 spline you will most likley need a complete 24 spline axle this is slightly stronger and I mean slightly than 10 spline however the halfshafts are quite abit stronger but not bullet proof. But the you get disk brakes at the back.

A 4 pin 24 spline diff would then fit but theyre not cheap. Used alot by competitiors.

A salisbury is a good upgrade however you lose an inch of ground clearance and you need to shorten the rear propshaft. I have had a salisbury on my 90 for circa 7 years not broken it and its got a detroit locker
