Defender alpine windows sealer

I am refitting my alpine windows and sunroof back into my 90 after having the roof painted, Can anyone recommend a good sealer to use in conjunction with the rubber seals for the alpine windows and the fitted seal on the sunroof, so that I can stop them leaking.

Hi, i did mine about 4 years ago with Sikaflexa 291. They have never leaked since. I put a thin continuous bead around the inside of the rubber where it contacts metal. I then put another thin bead around the inside of the rubber before putting the glass in. Once the windows are in run a cocktail stick around the rubber to separate off any excess. Once the sealant has dried the excess can be peeled away. This is much easier than cutting away the excess after it has dried.

Sikaflex is a marine product which is can be obtained from online marine chandlers.
