defender alarm lights

hello , anybody come across this one . I had a search and can t see any erelated threads . my indicators went on the blink so i put in an aftermarket new flasher unit . indicators worked fine but the alarm on / off flashes when i arm / disarm it stopped working . the inicators also showed the trailer attached light when i was usingthem . i swapped back to the original LR unit . the flashers worked fine agin but alrm on / off flashing still dont work . suggestions ????
